Get your entertainment right, that’s what your guests will remember!

Remember to be you, is a piece of advice I always give to my couples. A wedding day should reflect a couple perfectly. When planning a wedding, there are many options and decisions to be made, and my one nugget of wisdom is to make these decisions based on your needs and wants. Do what is best for you.

That said, a great wedding is not only created by the emotion of a couple making a lifetime commitment to one another, a great wedding is about the people in attendance and their involvement in the day. If your guests are as invested in your day as you are, this is what creates a great wedding.

You want to have the most wonderful day of your lives, and you also want your guests to have a good time... they are on your guestlist because you want them to share the love, laughter, and wonderful memories with you!

In order for your guests to have a great time and create good vibes, you need to put yourself in their shoes. Ask yourself, when you attend weddings, what do you remember most of the day or night? What is the most enjoyable part of the day?

I’ll answer it for you…

THE ENTERTAINMENT, THE DANCING, THE MUSIC!

Your guests will remember the atmosphere because of the music. They won't recall the flavour of your wedding cake or the style of your wedding shoes, but they will recall dancing, singing, and celebrating your love with you and your loved ones.

So, my second nugget of wisdom is:

Get your entertainment right, because that is what your guests will remember!

The music at a wedding is what creates the most beautiful ambience, whether it's a string quartet during the ceremony, a sax player during the drinks reception, or a band during the evening celebration.

Try and avoid lengthy periods of time during each part of the day, provide a substantial amount of food, and really invest your time and money in the evening entertainment, as this is where guests can let their hair down, and truly celebrate with you.

Keep your guests happy and the atmosphere will create itself. I promise you, you won't regret it.
