  • “Caroline really is amazing at what she does!

    Stephen and I got married at Lochgreen House Hotel on 7th December 2024. When we booked the venue we knew we wanted to create a ‘winter wonderland’ feel to our day whilst keeping it as classy as possible.

    The more Christmas trees the better!!

    I had a vision of building and decorating trees on the morning of our wedding but realistically that was never achievable…until we met Caroline.

    Not long after securing our date, we went to a wedding open day at Lochgreen where they had numerous local suppliers showcasing their services. This is where we met Caroline. We spoke to her briefly about what she had to offer and when we told her our vision she was immediately onboard. Right away we knew that Caroline’s styling service was essential for our day!

    Caroline’s service has been outstanding right from the beginning. We had an initial meeting over Zoom and talked in detail about how we wanted our day to look. Caroline listened, offered some of her own ideas and then went away to create a ‘mood board’. From here we knew we had made a great decision.

    Caroline also recommended local suppliers including Kirstie’s flowers, our florist and KB Invitations, who we used for all our stationary. Caroline liaised with Kirstie’s flowers directly on our behalf and which just made the process much smoother and simpler for us. We spoke with KB invitations to arrange our own save the dates and invites but again, Caroline went to her directly for our day stationary which was included in the price for styling service.

    Caroline uses an online portal called Aisle Planner which allowed us all to upload ideas, send messages and keep track of payments and RSVPs. Closer to the time we used this to create our table plan. It’s really easy to use and keeps everything in one place.

    We were kept up to date with regular Zoom calls and messages on Aisle Planner. On the day of the wedding Caroline was there at 6am to start creating our vision. She was great, I was staying at the hotel overnight and she popped up to say hello in the morning. I could not have been more relaxed knowing that she had everything in hand. She stayed until after our ceremony and made sure everything was sorted and ready to go for the drinks reception/meal and evening reception. She returned the next morning and cleared everything up.

    Our ceremony room was magical, I could not believe how she had managed to achieve exactly the vision I had in my head. We could not have done it without her and we are both so grateful for her amazing hard work.

  • “Caroline was the perfect wedding planning partner!

    We had a clear idea of how we wanted our big day to look and feel but with our busy schedules we were overwhelmed on how to make our vision come to life. When we came across Caroline and her Venue Design & Styling service, it sounded absolutely perfect and from our first meeting with Caroline we were confident that our day would be everything we had dreamed of.

    We got married in early September in Troon with our ceremony taking place in a nearby church and the reception at Lochgreen House. To begin with we spoke through our ideas with Caroline. Caroline then pulled together a moodboard taking all of our ideas and inspiration and turning it into a plan for our dream day.

    Caroline recommended and liaised with our florist (Achillea Flower Studio) and stationary provider (KB Invitations) to ensure everything was seamless. These were the perfect suppliers to bring all of the details to life.

    On our wedding day, we didn’t have a thing to stress about. We were confident that Caroline had everything under control and she really exceeded our expectations. We didn’t have to think about a thing! All of the details were perfect and we just enjoyed ourselves from the minute we got up. We even had decor from the church reused in the venue and this was all done without anyone noticing.

    We cannot recommend Caroline enough for stress free wedding planning and beautiful details on the day! It’s clear how passionate Caroline is about every wedding she is part of. Definitely one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process! We loved wedding planning and this is definitely in part because of the work Caroline did behind the scenes.

She took on tasks outside of her obligations, such as storing bridesmaids' gifts and party favors and coordinating the kilt and tux returns for our guests traveling overseas, all to ensure we had less to worry about during our travel to Scotland.

    Feeling extremely stressed and overwhelmed with wedding planning we contacted The Creative Occasion only a few months before our day, Caroline immediately made us feel relaxed, and from then on with her help we were able to enjoy the process.

    No detail was overlooked, Caroline’s work ethic is faultless, she has an eye for detail, especially for the small things we didn’t think about that made big impact and brought our styling together. Quickly we realised there was more to planning a wedding than booking some suppliers so we relied on Caroline more than we first thought and nothing was too much to ask. Caroline’s organisation skills are exceptional, it was very easy to trust that everything was in hand and even when we asked the same question 100 times or Caroline had to prompt us 100 times, her positive attitude and high energy never faltered.
