Luxury Wedding Styling That Will Make an Impact
Do you want to make all of your guests’ jaws drop? Do you want to remember your dream wedding day to be the best day of your life, memories filled with nothing but happiness, joy and excitement? Then you need to create the day you truly envision!
Although the smaller details do matter, and that can help create your overall theme, you need to think about the things that will make an impact, as that is what your guests tend to notice more.
All of this comes with careful planning and styling, and as a Scotland wedding stylist and planner, I love helping couples do just that. So, to help you, here are my tips for luxury wedding styling that will make an impact.
3 Wedding Styling Tips to Make a Big Statement
Allocate Your Budget

Allocate Your Budget
When it comes to wedding styling, you want to ensure that your wedding budget is being allocated to the things you want and that matter to you.
Instead of adding little details around the venue that not everyone will notice, put your budget towards making a large area that will not go unnoticed!
If you want to make a big statement that has you and your guests in absolute awe, then I highly recommend that you put your budget there.
Your budget is there for a reason, and you do not want to put it to waste, so allocate your budget to the things that will make an impact, something you truly desire, then focus on making it the best and investing in it.
For example, a ceremony arch, staircase, centrepieces or something that fills a room that people will walk past or see a lot throughout your wedding day.
Also, ensure that it is something that can last from your ceremony to your last dance – something that can be reused or placed somewhere that will be seen all day.
As a wedding planner and stylist, managing your budget is a priority to me and I ensure I advise you and put it to its best use for a happy couple.
Somewhere That Will be Photographed
When it comes to wedding styling, be sure to create an impact where you know will get photographed a lot! This means you will have the memories photographed in all of their beauty and you will be reminded of the effort you went through to achieve your vision.
Here are some ideas for you that will create an impact and will for sure be in your wedding photos often:
Stair Case – if your venue offers a wonderful staircase that is worth taking portraits on then make the most of it! You can style it with flowers, lanterns, candles or fairy lights. Make it a statement area of your venue.
An Archway – Archways are a stunning way to create a backdrop for wedding photos. They look lovely in the images especially if your wedding styling matches the theme of it. Add your florals and even entwine fairy lights around it.
Your guests will be drawn to these places and will love capturing gorgeous memories with you and your partner.
Something Significant to You
Wedding styling is all about you and your vision. It isn’t all about how it “should” look for the “perfect aesthetic”, it should be how you want it to look and feel.
Add a personal touch to your styling, whether that be adding a certain scented candle (maybe the smell takes you back to a special time in your life), or you could add a photo backdrop (photos of you and your loved ones) where everyone can feel nostalgic.
Think of something you know reflects you and your personality and your guests will truly appreciate this and think “that is so you!”.
